My name is Erin aka Bettie Gauge. Having recently completed the 12-week Body Piercing Course, I want to let everyone know what an awesome experience it was for me.
I have been interested in becoming a body piercer for six years now and have been in the industry for almost three, working as a counter girl at a local studio. Although I was lucky to already have my foot in the door at such a young age and although the studio I work for has helped me get where I was, I realized if I wanted to jump start my career I would have to take initiative to get the ball rolling. The Canadian School of Body Piercing was a great first step in doing that.
Over the course of the 12-week program, I learned so much! In the first six weeks, I learned the theory that is needed to be able to apply to the six weeks of practical. It was a very hands-on learning experience and the best part was it took place in a real studio setting. I was never really into school or studying or anything when I was younger, but it was definitely something I looked forward to every week, studying and going over my notes every day and I found the instructor really got me excited for it too. Everything I learned was relevant to what I would be doing and because I was passionate about it and was the main reasons I was so successful.
I have now started my apprenticeship at my home studio and I am more excited than ever about becoming a piercer! I feel that the knowledge and experience I gained throughout the twelve weeks has given me a good starting point. I highly recommend this course to anyone who is hoping to find an apprenticeship or thinks they may be interested in becoming a piercer. It will be an experience you will never forget!
